REHABILITATIVE Bodywork

Rehab Bodywork is the clinical / medical / orthopedic bodywork that I do.

This ideal if you are recovering from an injury or surgery, to help speed along your progress in healing. This typically consists of an assessment, table myofascial bodywork, and re-assessment. There is active participation on the side of the client as we are also targeting the nervous system to increase options for movement and refine proprioception (both of which are very important in pain mitigation). Home-care/self-care options are also covered.

I especially love helping with:

  • Foot Pain (Plantar fasciitis)

  • Ankle Issues (ankle sprain? reach out asap! I can assist with acute ankle sprains even same-day of injury!)

  • Knee Issues (post and pre operative and chronic pain issues)

  • Arm and Wrist Issues (carpal tunnel)

Zero-Balancing®

Zero Balancing is a powerful body-mind therapy that teaches skilled touch to bring balance to body structure and energy. A session typically lasts about 45 minutes and is offered through loose clothing. The practitioner uses finger pressure and gentle traction on areas of tension in the bones, joints and soft tissue to create fulcrums, or points of balance, around which the body can relax and reorganize.
 
By addressing the deepest and densest tissues of the body along with soft tissue and energy fields, Zero Balancing helps to clear chronic tension and blocks in the body’s energy flow. ZB has been shown to reduce stress, amplify vitality and promote better postural alignment.

Dehydrated fascia.

Fascia is the supportive connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, organ, bone, blood vessel, and nerve fiber in your body. The word “fascia” became trendy for a while as something that needed to be broken up, stretched, or pounded into submission. Nope. Recent science shows that fascia is key to our stability while acting as a communication system, stability system, and keeping healthy, hydrated fascia is key. It never makes sense to put yourself in pain to get out of pain. MELT is accessible for every body and modifiable for all ability levels and all ages.

Rossiter System Stretching

My Stretch appointments are based on the training that I did with Richard Rossiter (who developed The Rossiter System) Richard was an Advanced Rolfer™ who took many movement aspects of his bodywork practice and developed them into a unique style of active stretching.

I was blessed to train not only as a practitioner but also as an Instructor and had a dedicated Rossiter practice for years. It’s a great alternative to deep tissue massage and perfect for the person with a short period of time who wants big results.
