Muscle Release Technique
The Muscle Release Technique™ (MRT) is a unique manual injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement and breath to relieve pain. This is a manual stretch system with the client generally in sports clothing, done on a hydraulic massage table or in a chair. With MRT™ scar tissue is broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and relief from pain starts immediately. MRT™ can be performed on just about any muscle in the body. Simply by putting a little pressure on the muscle tissue, and at the same time putting the muscle through a specific plane of stretch, holding only for two seconds, the muscle memory is being restored. Circulation is also restored and inflammation is decreased. If you are a fan of Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) and the Wharton's work- you may love MRT work. Any time we can increase circulation to an inflamed area, healing will be promoted. Session length varies by issue you are dealing with and generally run 30-60mins. MORE INFO COMING SOON ON THIS.
